RFID implant and RFID ink product

The news was reported sometime on January in North America. It is claimed that the canadian coins were transmitted with a tiny RFID chip. Yet, that report remains questionable. Full details could be read here: http://www.cbc.ca/technology/story/2007/01/10/rfid-defence.html
On another development, another report said that RFID ink product could track humans and animal. The latter invention was meant to mitigate such trade loss, the report further said: http://www.computerweekly.com/Articles/2007/01/11/221122/rfid-ink-product-could-track-humans.htm.
My opinion: these two different applications were quitely exaggerated unless real cases have proven it otherwise.
