Learning the difference: Active and Passive RFID

Learning the notion of RFID technology is a herculean task, especially when one does not have a technology background. Realising the latter's pressing needs, I attempted to find the general difference between active and passive RFID. has provided an overview and extended the technology application in real time supply chain asset management. This article is worthy to be read and extracted. This article also argues on the need to have an RFID standards for RFID community. That (the standard) is one of the key issues that are considered by the European Union in its RFID consultation. Hopefully, the outcome will witness some interesting move.
