Latest development in RFID Malaysia: MM Chip secured its Patent rights (after four (4) years of substantive examination) and was officially announced by the Malaysian Prime Minister yesterday. At this juncture, joint venture negotiations are taking place between RFID based companies to boost the chip into Malaysian RFID market. I wonder how would these companies address privacy concerns, in the absence of privacy and data protection legislation. The details of MM Chip release is reachable here:-
